Meeting Minutes for the May 18, 2006 InfraGard Central Missouri Members Alliance

meeting held at the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) in Jefferson City, MO

Meeting called to order at 10:00 A.M. by President Gail Morris. Introductions were made and the minutes of the previous general meeting were presented for approval. Motion made and seconded to approve the minutes as presented, motion carried.

Old Business

  • The new banner was displayed. The banner was designed & provided by Lainie Strange of DESE and will be used at various presentation made by the Central Missouri chapter.

New Business

  • Update was given concerning the membership applications, security clearances required for membership. Paul Cordia, Membership Coordinator, will handle those issues and request for memberships.
  • The SIIPC website hosted at the National Guard is no longer functioning. It was decided to relocate the website to an OA location. Lainie Strange and R.D. Porter will work with the Guard and OA to get the site moved. The address will change and will be communicated to the membership.

Events and Training

  • The Missouri Digital Summit will be held June 15th and is free to all government employees. The Summit will be held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. The Chapter will have a booth and our President will be presenting at one of the sessions.
  • MOREnet will be holding its SANS forensics class this June 12-16 in Columbia.
  • R.D. Porter inquired if there was an interest in establishing a two days course on disaster recovery. Contact him, and if there is enough interest, he will arrange for the training.
  • MOREnet will be holding their annual Security Symposium this November 28-29, 2006.

Future meetings

  • No meeting will be held in July.
  • September 14, 2006 10:00-12:00 in Columbia at the Quarterdeck Building located at 2401 Lemone Industrial Blvd. Featured speakers will be MU professors who teach a “Science & Technology of Terrorism and Counterterrorism.” Refreshments will be provided.
  • November meeting will be nominations for officers.

Presentations

  • Mr. Van Gosley gave a presentation on the purpose and function of the MIAC.
Meeting adjourned at 11:05 and the tour was given of the MIAC center.
